We are passionate about teaching and training. Our faculty members at MBS come from different countries, church affiliations and professional experiences, and these add to the inter-denominational setting and community life. We are mindful that we are training missionaries, pastors, full time Christian workers and Christians in general for Malaysia, Asia and the world. We will give our best to the academic training of our students, we will live our best to model Christ-likeness and we will work together with the best practices in mind to convey skill and specializations to our students.
Theological study is for those with a call from the Lord for full-time ministry as well as those who want personal edification. At MBS, we take a holistic and not just an academic approach to learning. Since we prepare people to be pastors and field workers, we focus on practical experience. Studying and living in a community here is also a good opportunity to develop mentoring relationships.

MBS is a good choice because it is inter-denominational.There are different strains of thought that meet and challenge what you believe. It is international as students and lecturers come from several parts of Malaysia and different parts of the world. The community here is a real fellowship where people care for one another. Come here to be better equipped for ministry. Don’t underestimate the need for professional training in theology. Grow here in understanding of scripture and practical training for ministry.

Bible training is for those who are keen to enter full-time ministry and for those who are already in ministry but who need to upgrade their skills and certification. One needs both knowledge and skills.
Lots of people have skills but not the knowledge, and they can run dry. There are plenty of good speakers but when you listen to them, they are saying the same thing. MBS has a strong Bible thrust; its strength is Biblical studies and practical ministry. It is strong on biblical studies.

Everyone should study theology. God is what life is about. The ultimate questions of why are we here, how we should live, what really matters, what’s the source of eternal life or how I should treat others, are all answered when we study God. And MBS is a good place to study because it is biblically-based.
